Alice - The show is almost there - you will be enthralled by the fantastic performance of this musical. Tuesday and Wednesday evening at 6:00pm
As you will be aware, Ann Parsons will be retiring from our school at the end of this academic year, after approximately 13 years. We would like to recognize and celebrate this major event in Ann’s life by having a special assembly on Friday, 23 July, at 2.30pm. Also we will be saying farewell to Simon Barber who is also leaving after five extremely happy and successful years as our headteacher.
We will be singing Beatles' songs and also the Choir will be singing. The Classes will be invited to write a short memory of Ann or Simon, to be read out in the assembly. There will be cakes and drinks served on the grass outside the dining room after the assembly. Everybody welcome.

We've installed a weather station in the school which records information about Silkstone's very own climate. Click here to see more.
We are a 210 place Primary School serving the village community of Silkstone just outside Barnsley.
These are exciting times for our school. We have just had a three classroom extension added to our existing building. This has enabled us to bring class 4 who were taught in the mobile classroom across to the main school building, and allowed us to convert two of our smaller classrooms into a new staffroom and computer suite.
As well as this, classes 5 and 6 who are in the older part of the building have had their rooms refurbished and extended and our administration rooms have been extended also.
So almost every room in the school has been modernised or is brand new and we are left with a wonderful resource in which to learn and teach.
Enjoy your visit, have a good look around, and do give us any feedback you may have.
Kind regards,
Simon Barber
Headteacher
