GENERAL SCHOOL INFORMATION

1 PARENT GOVERNOR ELECTION

We are pleased to let you know that Mr Paul Hinchliffe – the father of Hannah in year 3 and Beth in year 1 - was elected unopposed as a parent governor onto the Governing Body.  Congratulations Mr Hinchliffe!

Mr Hinchliffe will commence as a governor after the Easter Holidays.

2 SCHOOL MEALS

Please do remember that if your child wishes to change from school meals to their own sandwiches, or vice versa, then we do need two weeks written notice – even if this is at the very start of an academic year!

3 ARRIVING IN SCHOOL AFTER THE 9.00AM BELL

Can we please remind all parents that once class has commenced at 9.00am children should be taken to the main reception and signed in.  A member of the office staff will take your child to class.

Can we remind parents that for security reasons parents should not go straight round to the outside doors of the classrooms and enter and disturb the class. Can we therefore ask for your co-operation in this matter. 4 DOGS ON SCHOOL PREMISES

Can we remind all parents, grandparents and carers that no dogs are allowed anywhere on the school premises.  This is for Health and Safety reasons, as well as the fact that several children are allergic to animal fur and many are frightened too.

This week we have received notification from concerned parents that two parents/grandparents are bringing in a dog when they collect their children.  Can we thus ask you to ensure this does not happen again in the future.  It might be that you need to speak to grandparents too as perhaps they are unaware of the restrictions regarding animals on school premises.

5 LOST PROPERTY

On Wednesday, 10 March a memory stick was found in the staff car park.  If you think this might be yours please contact the school office for details.
